Where to rest without passing immigration

Of the places to rest at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), the resting lounges and the pay-in lounges are airside, and none of the hotels is.

HKIA says “Resting Lounges are located throughout the airport for passengers to unwind and rest before departure and during transit.” They are near Gates 1, 5, 6, 7, 24, 26, 33, 44, 45, 47, 48, 64, 65, 66 and 69 on the Departures Level (L6), near Gates 205, 207, 213 and 215 on L6 of the Midfield Concourse, and there is a Bonded Bus Waiting Lounge on L4. HKIA’s page gives no opening hours, price or limit on how long you may stay.

Past security you need no visa: see visa and transit rules. HKIA’s pages give no limit on how long you can stay airside.
